Who We Are

Kourtney Stafford:

Kourtney is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Youth and Families First. Prior to starting Youth and Families First Kourtney has worked in various leadership roles within the behavioral health and the state of Arizona as well as in other states. Kourtney is responsible for the day to day operations and for program development and strategic planning of Youth and Families First. Kourtney is also active in various community coalitions and organizations that support building healthy communities.

Matthew Brosius:

As CFO for Youth and Families First Matthew oversees all financial aspects and Human Resources of the Organization. Matthew has always wanted to do accounting since he was in High School and followed through as he attended Portland State University in Portland, Oregon and received his B.S. in Accounting in 2000. After deciding to leave the rain of Oregon Matthew moved to Arizona in 2006. Matthew started Youth and Families First in October 2009 as a co-founder with the CEO, Kourtney Stafford. Matthew believes in Youth and Families First’s organizational goals to provide hope and empowering youth and their families during their times of need. In Matthew’s spare time he enjoys being with his family including his wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. Matthew also enjoys watching movies, going to watch Suns and Diamondback games and collecting comics.

Nicholas Zamorano:

Nicholas is the Director of Programs at Youth and Families First. Nicholas is responsible for the oversight of the Mentoring and Behavioral Health Programs. Nicholas has passion to assist youth and their families with excellent mentoring and behavioral health services to provide hope that tomorrow can be better than today. This desire ignites from his own experiences as a child. Nicholas graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree and as the Valedictorian of his class. Nicholas has the desire to give back to youth and their families. To help by providing encouragement and positive role modeling so that the youth can discover their potential and be successful in their life. After all, there is no greater feeling than to save the world, one youth at a time!

Erica Zamorano:

Erica is the Executive Assistant of Youth and Families First. Erica was born in Phoenix, AZ but have lived in all four directions of the United States, literally. She lived in New Mexico, Upstate New York, and Nevada. In the states Erica lived on different Native reservations and she has seen many youth struggle with many problems such as drug addiction, alcohol, and depression in and off the reservation, which led her into the human services field. Erica is happy to be a part of a company that makes a difference in kid’s lives who battle with these issues.
